Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign midfielder Nicolas Gaitan.
This season the player made 37 appearances as Benfica claimed a league and cup double for the third year in a row.

Gaitan joined Benfica from Boca Juniors in 2010. He is also part of Argentina squad. The midfielder has made 15 appearances for his country and has scored two goals.
The 28-year-old will reportedly travel to A. Madrid to “complete all the formalities” However, no fee was disclosed when Atletico announced the news on Thursday.
