OAU NASU To Continue Protest

Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities has told The Insider that protests will continue tomorrow, 13th June, 2016.

Comrade Wole Odewunmi, NASU OAU Chairman has said yesterday, 12th June, that “Our protest will continue tomorrow (Monday) and will not cease by God’s grace”.

It will be recalled that Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and OAU management have been involved in a disagreement over who becomes the new Vice Chancellor of the institution with NASU Claiming that processes that led to emergence of Prof Salami as Vice Chancellor OAU Was faulty and legal.

The case is pending at a Federal high court in Osogbo and judgment is due to be delivered on Friday, 17th June, 2016.

Activities on OAU campus has been halted ever since NASU commenced their protest since Tuesday, June 7th, 2016. Freshmen have been unable to register at their Departments and Faculties due to this protest and with the continuation of the protest, registration is pending till further notice.
