OAU: LOOMING STRIKE AS NASU, SSANU, NAAT DARE FG, ASUU OVER VC APPOINTMENT

Earlier yesterday morning, NASU., SSANU, and NAAT members of Obafemi Awolowo University chapter gathered at the University Senate building for emergency meeting as regard the release of ASUU national body yesterday that the Federal Government don't

have the right to devolve the governing council of the institution.

Reacting to this is the SSANU Chairman in person of Comrade Oketunde who spoke with our correspondent this morning that "we are ready to stop the corrupt practice of all VC since 2004, they are all pen robbers, the ASUU are fighting for interest, can you compare the change we have now on campus to what we have in the previous administration, they are rogues"

He further butress that "we have been called to a meeting at Abuja by the Ministry of Education and we are not ready for illicit art from anybody, be it NUC, FG or ASUU" he said.

Also, our correspondent met with the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju who was quoted saying "the FG owns the school, owns every union including the VC and ASUU don't have mandate to tell FG what to do" he revealed.

Meanwhile, students are already reacting to this as a student from faculty of Law was quoted "this people should settle their differences because we are not getting young, our mates are doing fine outside the school. "
